The Standard Textus Versioning Protocol ("S.T.V.P.") establishes a standard framework for the formatting, identification, and reference of VERSIONS, thus enabling efficient and consistent management of VERSIONS. Though the Standard was originally meant for Textus, it is not limited to them. The Standard may be used for any item that requires VERSIONING. The versatile nature of the Standard makes it an easy-to-integrate and accessible solution. The Standard outlines the syntax for a VERSION, its COMPONENTS, and proposes a method for extracting information from the syntax.
